Viki’s Testimony

I grew up in a Christian family, going to Church and Sunday school each week and gradually came to believe in Jesus.  I became a Christian when I was fifteen, during a Christian youth holiday.  It was then that what I knew about Jesus and what he had done became personal to me, and that only through his sacrifice on the cross, could I be forgiven for my sins.

As the process of becoming a Christian was gradual, and at a fairly young age, I did not notice any big change in my life, however, I have always found that I am comforted by the Lord in difficult and uncertain situations or stages in my life and find peace by placing my worries and concerns in the hands of the Lord.

Nearly five years ago I got married and we moved to Aylesbury.  After moving I found that I began attending Church less regularly – partly due to the distance and partly because I was getting caught up in everyday life.

Soon after we were married I found out that I might not be able to have children, which I found very difficult to come to terms with as I had always expected to be able to have them.

During this time I drew closer to God for support and comfort to help me face whatever the future held, and when I found out I was pregnant with James I felt so blessed and thankful.  It was then that I began attending Limes Avenue and soon after I was baptised and became a member of the Church.
